Transport & Logistiek Nederland (TLN) will be organising guided tours of ICT&Logistiek again this year. The tours are aimed at people who are involved in the use (purchase and replacement) of ICT resources at logistics organisations, and provide a quick overview of the possibilities and developments offered by the various suppliers.

Tour 1: Automation “within the 4 walls” (TMS/planning)

Planners, and the software systems they use, are the heart of any planning department. To achieve the best possible planning, we see the use of solutions such as a TMS, route planning systems, control towers and visibility platforms. Rolling stock is full of systems that record data and planning based on current information is becoming increasingly important. Drivers perform activities that is controlled, recorded, and communicated. FMS systems, telematics solutions, and driver apps are means to make optimal use of this data within your company and to improve the driving behaviour of drivers.
